Presentation Guidelines

Oral Presentation Guidelines:

Presentation Times:

  • Plenary presentations are 45 minutes long, including 40 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions and discussion.
  • Invited presentations are 25 minutes long, including 20 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions and discussion.
  • Contributed presentations are 15 minutes long, including 12 minutes for the presentation and 3 minutes for questions and discussion.

Audio-Visual Setup:
The conference room will be set up with a screen, wireless (handheld and lavalier) microphones, LCD projector, and desktop (PC). IWGO will provide a laptop (PC) in the session room. Please download your presentation to the desktop/laptop using a flash drive on to this computer prior to the start of the session or during a session break. Please note that PowerPoint (16:9) is the recommended presentation software.

Poster Presentation Guidelines:

Poster presenters are requested to be present at (or near) their poster during the times scheduled for poster viewing.

Poster Hours (Subject to Change):
Monday, 8/3: 5:35-7:35 p.m. | Set-up: 12:00-5:00 p.m. | Tear Down: 8:00 p.m.
Tuesday, 8/4: 5:30-7:30 p.m. | Set-up: 12:00-5:00 p.m. | Tear Down: 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, 8/5: 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. |Set-up: 12:00 -4:00 p.m. | Tear Down: 8:30 p.m.

Poster Size: Poster presenters will be provided with a blank board and push pins for mounting posters at the setup times listed above. Each poster location will be marked with your poster number that is listed in the program. Please make your poster no larger than 46 inches wide by 46 inches high (116.8 x 116.8 cm).

Poster Removal: Please note that we cannot take responsibility for any posters left on the boards- any remaining posters will be discarded.
