Abstract Deadline March 18, 2026

Note: there are currently no plans for audio or video recording; however, the copyright form language is included as a precautionary measure, but you would be notified in advance should this change.

Contributed papers are invited for the International Workshop on Gallium Oxide and Related Materials (IWGO 2026).  The meeting will be held in College Park, Maryland from August 2-7, 2026. Please see the abstract submission guidelines and topic list below.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Before signing up or logging into the online system, please review all of the following steps to ensure you have the information needed to complete the Online Abstract Submission Form.

  • Step 1

Please Note the Following Requirements Prior to Submission:

    1. If you are planning to submit multiple abstracts, presenters are limited to one oral and one poster presentation for the Conference. They must be two DIFFERENT abstracts – not the same abstract submitted as both an oral and a poster.
    2. Each abstract should be a single page in length (including figures). In addition to this single-page abstract that will be included in the online technical program book, authors are encouraged to submit additional pages (up to two) with supplementary information that will be used by the Program Committee to help in abstract selection as well as determining abstracts for upgraded talks. The abstract and supplementary pages must be submitted online as one Adobe PDF file created from the MSWord Template below and uploaded using the online submission link in Step 4.
    3. During the submission process, authors will also be asked to (1) enter contact, title, author, etc. details as well as an additional mini text abstract (2,700-character max including punctuation and spacing) and (2) upload the PDF file with the abstract (required) and the additional supplementary pages (optional).
    4. You will need to agree to the COPYRIGHT AGREEMENT. Note: there are currently no plans for audio or video recording; however, this language is included as a precautionary measure, but you would be notified in advance should this change.
  • Step 2

Please download this ABSTRACT TEMPLATE and create your single-page (including figures) abstract. Remember you can submit additional pages (up to two) with supplementary information.

Conference Topics

The scientific field related to the ultra-wide bandgap Gallium Oxide semiconductor has been rapidly expanding over the past decade due to intensive research in the field of crystal and epitaxial growth, devices, theory, and applications. The IWGO technical program will be organized according to the following technical topics:

  • Theory, modeling, and simulation
  • Substrate development and material quality
  • Epitaxial growth and doping control
  • Defects science
  • Advanced device scaling and fabrication techniques
  • Thermal management and heat dissipation
  • Circuit-level benchmarking and reliability assessment
  • Heterogeneous integration and other WBG and UWBG oxides beyond Ga2O3 (e.g., GeO2, NiO, LiGaO, Cu2O, and etc.)
  • Polymorphism

Author Notification

Acknowledgment that your abstract has been submitted will follow by e-mail shortly after submission. Notifications regarding acceptance will be sent by e-mail by May 5, 2026.
